October–November
Komodo still dry, Raja Ampat entering its best season, Bali quieter and green.
Trip planning guide
Three regions, three climates. October to November balances Komodo’s dry season with Raja Ampat’s best months, while Bali turns green and quiet.
The short answer
A perfect match for all three regions is rare. Pick the window that fits what matters most to you.
Komodo still dry, Raja Ampat entering its best season, Bali quieter and green.
Raja Ampat’s last good weeks as Komodo’s dry season begins in April.
Komodo dry and quieter before its June–September peak, with lush landscapes.
Raja Ampat at its best; accept rain in Bali and rough Komodo seas.
Month by month
Bali and Komodo share a dry season; Raja Ampat, in West Papua, runs almost the opposite way.
Air temperatures sit around 26–32°C year-round, with humidity often above 80%.
Why the seasons clash
Bali is dry from April to October and wet from November to March. Komodo's dry season runs a little longer, from April to November, peaking June to September.
Raja Ampat is at its best from October to April — exactly when the western monsoon brings rain to Bali. Timing the route around that split is the whole art.
